Master Paul is the Founder of United Taekwondo who inspires people to help others. Through his vision of a brighter future for our children, he has built a team of dedicated instructors who understand how to discover and nurture a child’s true potential.
With all the senseless violence in our world, Master Paul thought the world could be a better place with more respectful and resilient children that want to give back to society in a meaningful way. He knows he can’t do it alone and has developed multiple systems that allow everyone to gain the benefits of learning something new, sharing their knowledge and experience and help someone else achieve more than they could ever imagine.
Master Paul is known as one of the greatest inspirational leaders in the martial arts arena. His greatest strengths is being able to discover and nurture a child’s true potential. Now he shares his knowledge and experience in his latest book – Building People Not FightersTM and encourages other to take up the challenge of learning something new, becoming confident in their chosen field, see greatness within others and share their knowledge and experience for the purpose of nurturing another person’s true potential. I believe there is greatness inside everyone: you just need the right person to help you find it, and support you on your way to achieving your dreams.
In 2014, Master Paul was selected as the best Active After School Coach out of 3,500 coaches across New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory by Australian Sports Commission. His business was featured on Foxtel as Industry Leader and in 2020 United Taekwondo was selected as a finalist in four categories National Business Awards: Fitness Business, Entrepreneur, Business Growth and Business of the Decade. Now with his latest book – Building People Not FightersTM, Master Paul is ready to share his knowledge and experience to help decreased bullying to a manageable level and give our children a brighter future.
In his spare time Master Paul enjoys renovating his home, writing and spending time with family and friends.
1961
I was born in Marrickville, Sydney Australia and have three sisters and two brothers
Started working with my father Sydney and Flemington Growers Markets during school holidays
1972
1978
Began learning Taekwondo on 7 – 8 – 1978
Started electrical apprenticeship with State Rail Authority
1979
1983
Achieved 1st Degree Black Belt and began instructing
Promoted to 2nd Degree black belt & became Regional Instructor two areas
1990
2006
Kicked out of taekwondo, missed promotion at work and mum died after suffering dementia for 8 years
Started United Taekwondo and later that year promoted to Master Instructor 4th Dan
Started teaching on a full-time basis with various target objectives. Training centres, anti-bullying programs, personal development programs, after school programs, sports programs and private lessons.
Inducted into Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame (AMAHOF) and recognised for superior leadership, teaching performance and dedication to martial arts.

2010
Selected as best Education Services at Precedent Productions National Business Awards.
Became Events Coordinator AMAHOF Sydney with 200 attending the event.
Local Business Awards – Macarthur Area – Best Fitness Business.

Sushi King Australia – ate $2,500 sushi in 3 months and won a trip, with my son, to Korea.
Became a Key Personal on Influence in the martial arts arena.
Self-published “Self Confidence – The Martial Arts Way” and later narrated this book.
Produced DVD series to help members understand the lesson taught.
Selected best coach – Active After School Communities (AASC) Program out of 3,500 coaches New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory

Developed our own game. Master Paul’s Taekwondo Legends with mini games like Master Paul’s Chopsticks (Android Version Only)

Young Spirit Mentoring Program (YSMP) – Helped the underprivileged raising $5,500 plus trained them in Taekwondo to build confidence.

Achieved 40 years in taekwondo and held the rank of 6th Dan Black Belt.
Selected as one of 25 community stars in Wollongong NSW
Began teaching on women’s day – Fernwood Miranda – self defence classes
Produced our own streetwear
Due to Covid developed online training system for teachers and for Australian & International taekwondo practitioners

Completed 2nd book - Building People Not Fighters™ and decided to move into the area of public speaking to share his messages of hope for a better future for our children.
